Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) marked the International Day of Radiology. The hospital management organised an event to highlight importance and role of radiographers in treatment of patients. This year theme is "Radiographers at the Forefront of Patient Safety” aims to promote role of radiographers and radiology technicians who play in promoting and maintaining radiation safety as well as general patient safety during treatment journey. The day is commemorated on November 8 every year, to celebrate the anniversary of the discovery of x-rays, and promotes radiology's role in healthcare.
