1st Cath Conference at PIC-MTI

The Interventional Cardiology Department of Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in collaboration with Pakistan Society of Interventional Cardiology (PSIC) conducted an Interventional Cardiology Cath conference. Participants from various institutions from within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as from other institutions throughout the country attended the conference and some participants were linked to the event online. An array of interesting and complex cases of cardiology were discussed by the various participating institutes. The expert panel was comprised Prof. Dr. Nadeem Rizvi, Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Waheed, Prof. Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Prof. Dr. Zahid Aslam Awan, Prof. Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Fawad.

The highlight of the event was the live streaming of a complex cardiology procedure being performed in PIC cath lab and broadcasted live to the participants in the PIC auditorium. This was the first ever live case broadcasted in any conference conducted by PSIC. The technology and the efforts behind the live broadcast was highly appreciated by all the participants.
